Mountain View Outreach
A Local & Global Alliance

At Mountain View Eye Center, our patients know that nothing is more important to our doctors than an individual’s ability to see and enjoy all that life has to offer—but unfortunately, that opportunity is lost to many people in underdeveloped nations and under-served rural areas, and our doctors can only be in so many places at once. Enter the Mountain View Outreach program—an alliance of physicians and programs designed to bring much-needed eye health care to areas where there simply isn’t enough to go around. The Mountain View Outreach program is committed to its mission of treating preventable global blindness, and has so far touched the lives of patients in Ethiopia, Ghana, Nepal, Haiti, and Rwanda. The CDC has recently released updated guidelines stating that fully vaccinated persons can resume activities without wearing masks or physically distancing in non-pharmaceutical settings, however the CDC continues to recommend masking and social distancing to all healthcare personnel while at work, and to all patients and residents while they are being cared for in a healthcare setting.

In accordance with these guidelines, we are continuing to require masks for all staff and patients when entering our facility. We are also continuing to require appointments for all visits, including visits to our Optical Shoppe.

We continue to put great efforts into cleaning and sanitizing to keep our staff, patients and community safe and healthy. We appreciate your ongoing patience and cooperation during this process.
